Tottenham – Southampton

After losing the derby against Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur will try to get back on their feet against Southampton on Wednesday night. The game is going to be played at the Wembley Stadium and it’s a part of the 15th round of the Premier League. Here are our winning soccer predictions for this clash.

It was a bad day for Spurs against Arsenal at the Wembley. Mauricio Pochettino’s team had a 2-1 lead at the halftime break, but lost the game with 2-4, because of a very poor second half. It was certainly not the type of result Tottenham were hoping to get.

For Southampton this is going to be a first game since the sacking of the manager Mark Hughes. The club still don’t have a new manager, so against Tottenham the Saints are going to be led by a caretaker.

Right now Southampton are 18th in the league standings, being positioned in the relegation zone. They have 9 points and a record of 1 win, 6 draws and 7 losses. This explains why Hughes was fired from the club’s board.

In their last five games Southampton are without a win – three draws and two losses. In their last game the Saints won a point, doing a 2-2 draw against Manchester United at the St. Mary’s. Despite of this, Hughes was still sacked.
