Surely Tottenham are not as consistent as they wanted to be so far. In six games played in the Premier League this season, Spurs’ record looks like this: two wins, two draws and two losses. Obviously consistency is something which Mauricio Pochettino’s team do not have at this moment.

In the previous round Tottenham lost for a second time this season. The Champions League finalists travelled to King Power to face Leicester City and lost the game with 1-2. At halftime it was all good for the visitors, because Harry Kane scored after an assist from Son Heung-Min. But it went all wrong after the break, when Ricardo Pereira and James Maddison scored for the Foxes.

During the week Tottenham suffered another dissapointment, because they got eliminated from the Carabao Cup. The Londoners faced Colchester United away from home and left the competition after penalty kicks.

Southampton are currently are 13th in the Premier League standings with seven points won so far – just one less their next opponent. The Saints are approaching this game after defeat as well. Last week Southampton hosted Bournemouth at the St. Mary’s, but after conceding three goals they suffered a 1-3 defeat. Southampton’s only goal in the match was scored by James Ward-Prowse from a penalty kick.

During the week the Saints enjoyed success in the Carabao Cup, though. Southampton visited Portsmouth at the Fratton Park and enjoyed a 4-0 win. Danny Ings scored a brace, while Cedric Soares and Nathan Redmond also scored.

These are our English Premier League predictions for the game between Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton on Saturday. Despite of their poor form lately, we believe that for Spurs it’s time to get back on the winning road.
