Osasuna hosts the champion Barcelona in a match from the third round of the Spanish La Liga. Let’s take some minutes to examine this clash at El Sadar in our La Liga predictions.
Osasuna returned to La Liga after a spell in Segunda and they started the season pretty well. Los Rojillos won four points from the first two rounds, which is actually more than Barca at this point.
Osasuna kicked off the season with a win over Leganes away from home, while last week they made a 0-0 draw at home against Eibar. It was Osasuna’s first home game for the season, but Arrasate’s boys were unable to break the visitors’ defense.
Barcelona on the other hand started the season with a loss in Bilbao, but last week the Catalans enjoyed themselves and scored five goals against Real Betis at the Camp Nou. The summer signing Antoine Griezmann showed his class and scored two goals for the win, while Carles Perez, Jordi Alba and Arturo Vidal also scored for the champions.
Barcelona’s manager Ernesto Valverde has to deal with the absence of some key figures. Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele are injured and they will miss the next game as well. Most likely in Pamplona Antoine Griezmann will lead the attack again, while Carles Perez and Rafinha shall support him from the wings. To be honest, right now Valverde do not have many options when it comes to his strikers.
Estadio El Sadar is not an easy ground to play at, but especially after losing in the first round, Barca must play for the win. It’s always difficult for Los Cules to play without Leo Messi, but against Betis they did pretty well without the magnificent Argentine.
That’s our La Liga predictions for the clash between Osasuna and Barcelona in Pamplona. We wish you good luck.
