Real Betis hosts Eibar
In a first game from the eight round of La Liga, Real Betis hosts Eibar at the Estadio Benito Villamarin in Sevilla. Let’s spend a few minutes to talk about this fixture in our soccer matches tomorrow.
Real Betis didn’t start the new season in the best way possible, which is clear from their position in the league table. At this moment Betis are 15th in the standings with 8 points won, which is kind of dissapointing. In the summer Rubi replaced Quique Setien as a manager of the team, but it’s clear that he still has a lot of work to do.
In the previous round Real Betis suffered their third defeat in La Liga for the season. The Andalusians visited Villarreal at the Estadio de la Ceramica and suffered a humilating 1-5 defeat. Emerson scored the visitors, but the Yellow Submarine dominated the game and didn’t face any trouble to take the win.
Meanwhile Eibar are 11th in La Liga, but having the same amount of points as Real Betis – 8. They even have the same record as their next opponents – two wins, two draws and three losses. The reason why Eibar are four places above Real Betis in the standings is the fact that they have a better goal difference.
It seems that Eibar are on the rise lately, enjoying two consecutive wins in the league. Their win over Sevilla was followed by another one against Celta. Both goals at the Ipurua were scored in the second half, when Edu Exposito and Fabian Orellana scored for the hosts.
In our soccer matches tomorrow we shall mention that at this moment Eibar seems to be in a better shape, but Real Betis will have the home ground advantage. Their manager Rubi is aware that if he doesn’t find a way to stabilize his team’s performance, he could be gone really soon.
