Manchester City welcomes Leicester City

Manchester City welcomes Leicester City at the Etihad in a game we expect to be pretty amazing. Let’s discuss it during our English Premier League predictions for today.

Maybe now it’s safe to say that Manchester City are out of the title race. The current champions are third in the standngs and 14 points behind Liverpool, so more or less this is a game over for them. What they can do is eventually beat Leicester City for the second place, but it won’t be much of a difference for them. Clearly until the end of the campaign Man City will concentrate on other competitions, but they still must watch out for their place in the Top 4.

During the week Manchester City visited Oxford City in a game from Carabao Cup. The manager Pep Guardiola put on the pitch a mixture between young and more experienced players. Lads like Eric Garcia, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Phil Foden got the chance to start for City. The visitors secured a 3-1 win with goals from Joao Cancelo and Raheem Sterling.

Sergio Aguero, John Stones and Aymeric Laporte remain sidelined for Man City, while Leroy Sane remains out of the squad with a serious knee injury.

Leicester City are having a dream season so far. The manager Brendan Rodgers is showing his magic and right now the Foxes are second in the league, only behind the leader Liverpool. Maybe it’s too much to say that Leicester could beat Liverpool for the title, but they can easily secure a Top 4 place this season.

A draw at the Etihad would allow the Foxes to keep their 4 points lead in front of the third Manchester City. Brendan Rodgers will have to do it without the services of Matthew James, who is injured.

That’s our English Premier League predictions for the game between Manchester City and Leicester City on Saturday. Be sure to watch, it’s going to be exciting!
