Kenya meets Tanzania
Kenya meets Tanzania in a match from Group C of the Cup of Nations. Stay with us, because we are about to take a look at this fixture in our predictions football 1×2. Let’s go!
Kenya didn’t have the luck to start the competition in a positive way. Sebastien Migne’s boys faced Algeria in Cairo and suffered a 0-2 defeat. Both goals in Patrick Matasi’s net were scored in the first half, when Baghdad Bounedjah from a penalty kick and Riyad Mahrez scored for the opposition.
During the second half Sebastien Migne tried to make some changes in his team, but even the inclusion of Erick Ouma Otieno and Johanna Omolo didn’t help Kenya to do better. But of course, to loss against a classy team like Algeria was not really that surprising.
Kenya have never passed the first round during their participations at the Cup of Nations. Now if they want to keep their chances to do so, they have to win against Tanzania at any cost.
Just like Kenya, Tanzania also started their participation at the Cup of Nations with a 0-2 defeat. Managed by the Nigerian legend Emmanuel Amunike, Tanzania faced Senegal in Cairo, but they were unable to rival the Lions of Teranga. Even without the superstar Sadio Mane, Senegal didn’t face any problems to win the game.
Now Tanzania are in a similar position to Kenya’s – they have to win, if they want to keep their chances of progression. A draw here would be a suicide for both teams, which makes this game so interesting. Kenya and Tanzania are clearly not among the best teams in Africa, but they still have chances to progress.
These are our predictions football 1×2 for the Cup of Nations clash between Kenya and Tanzania on Thursday night. We wish you a good luck with this one.
