France – Croatia
This is it. The biggest day in football. The day everyone is waiting for once on every four years – the final of the FIFA World Cup. We are heading to the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, where the teams of France and Croatia meet each other for the golden medals. These are our vip soccer predictions today for the clash in the Russian capital.
These two teams reached the World Cup final, although they did in a pretty much a different way. France won all of their knockout games in the regular time, while Croatia needed to play extra time on three occasions against Denmark, Russia and England. In two of these cases they won via penalties. Maybe this will be the reason for some tiredness in the Croatian squad, but when we talk about a World Cup final, nobody can get tired. This is once in a lifetime opportunity.
Even before the competition began, France were regarded as strong favourites for winning the World Cup. Just like Croatia, Les Bleus have their best generation from years. Mixing youth with impressive talent and athletism, these stars are ready to shine and conquer the world. Two years ago France suffered a major dissapointment, losing the Euro 2016 final in Paris. Two years later, they reached another final. And this time they are determined to win it.
Twenty years after reaching the 1/2-finals in the 1998 World Cup, Croatia are once again rewriting history. Zlatko Dalic’ team achieved immortality, reaching the final for a first time in this nation’s history. Just imagine what will follow in their country, if they manage to win it as well. The Vatreni have a flawless squad, filled with players who are all signed to Europe’s top clubs. The Croatians know that this is their moment to make history, so you can be sure that they will want to make the final step as well.
France are using a 4-2-3-1 system since the start of the World Cup. While N’Golo Kante, Paul Pogba and Blaise Matuidi are usually bossing the midfield, Antoine Griezmann and Kylian Mbape are the two key figures in the Les Bleus’ attack line. These two forwards can offer a lot of pace and technicality in attack, which makes them incredibly dangerous. In same time, the partnership between Raphael Varane and Samuel Umtiti is making France a very solid team in defense, too.
Just like France, Croatia are also using a 4-2-3-1 formation. Marcelo Brozovic and Ivan Rakitic are functioning as holding midfielders in Zlatko Dalic’ team, while the team’s captain Luca Modric have the freedom to create. Modric is the key figure in the Croatian side, so the Vatreni will need him to be on the top of his game, if they want to win the trophy. Some might say that Modric was below his levels against England, but now the Real Madrid man will have the best possible opportunity to lead his team. If Croatia wins the World Cup, you can be sure that Luca Modric is going to be a strong contender for the Ballon d’Or as well.
These are our vip soccer predictions today for the World Cup final between Croatia and France in Moscow. There ain’t any injured or suspended players, so both managers can show the best they have on the pitch. According to the pundits, France are a slight favourite here, but we advice you to avoid such conclusions. This is a final and there ain’t no favourites. Croatia proved that they are here for the title, but they will have a solid opponent in France.
